There was a common theme in my Facebook newsfeed this weekend –
Planning for 2017.
I follow a lot of thought leaders and coaches and every single post from them over the weekend was on planning for 2017.
Do you know why?
Because people who have the same mindset as me know that being proactive instead of reactive is the key to success!
So, yes, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of getting ready for Christmas, we are setting goals and making plans for 2017. #proactive
You can do it too – take ten minutes our of your day, grab pen and paper and start brainstorming:
What would you do if money did not stand in your way?
Just answer the question. Make a list. Brainstorm. Don’t worry about HOW it’s going to happen. Just make a list.
1. Meet Elton John
2. Increase savings to “x” amount (write the amount YOU want)
3. One week vacation to the mountains.
Obviously, this is the beginning of my list. What’s on your list?
Once your list is created, you make a plan to reflect your list. I have this idea that we should not let our current financial situation determine the things we put on our list. Your budget should reflect your bucket list.
Does that make sense?
Yes, that requires a shift in mindset. Yes, it requires giving yourself permission to dream BIG – I dare you to do that!
Here’s your task for this week – make your list. I’d love for you to share it! A great place to share it would be in our Facebook group,
The Brave Budget Community. You can send a request to join – it’s FREE and we have a great group!
I look forward to seeing your BIG goals and dreams for 2017!
