What part of your life do you want to be different for 2016? Does it involve money?
TODAY is the day you need to start planning so you have momentum when the calendar flips over to January. Here are five tips to get started:
Grab pen and paper ( preferably a notebook ) and start writing things down. Make a list of all the things you want to be different. It doesn’t matter how outrageous or impossible it may seem, how big or small, just write it down.
Look at your list. Are there things there that will get resolved once something else is done? Group things together that will be accomplished via the domino effect.
Look at your prioritized list. Pick one or two things that you can start right away. Ideally, one will be a short term goal and one will be a long term goal.
CREATE ACTIONABLE STEPS
Start with your short term goal. Start a list of steps you need to do in order to achieve that goal.
Then, do the same with you long term goal. The steps can be daily (even broken down into morning, afternoon and evening if needed), weekly or monthly goals.
CREATE A SYSTEM OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Who will help you make sure you stay on task? Ask those people to help you by keeping you accountable. Tell them your goal, your plans and your timeline. Create a check in system – will in be in person, through text, email or phone call?
Today is your day to make 2016 a great year!
